- All payment processing is handled by Stripe
- We do NOT store credit card numbers, CVVs, or full card details
- We store: Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, transaction history (amounts, dates, credit packs purchased)
C. Usage Information (generated by your activity)
- Products created (titles, descriptions, content, categories)
- Scans performed (queries, results, scores)
- Media assets generated (covers, voiceovers, videos, pins)
- Credit balance and transaction history
- Chat conversations with Chef Kupkaike AI assistant
- Feature usage patterns and session data
D. Affiliate Information (if applicable)
- Referral code
- PayPal email address (for commission payouts)
- Referral statistics (number of referrals, commission amounts)
- Note: Affiliates can see purchase amounts from referred users but NOT personal information (name, email)

3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the Kupkaike platform
- To process payments and manage credit balances
- To generate AI-powered products and market intelligence
- To communicate with you (account notifications, support responses, product updates)

- To operate the affiliate program (track referrals, calculate commissions)
- To prevent fraud and ensure platform security

4. AI Processing & Data
- When you use the Opportunity Scanner, your query is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis
- When you generate products, your input is sent to Anthropic's Claude API and/or OpenAI's API
- When you generate covers, your prompts are sent to OpenAI's DALL-E API
- When you generate voiceovers, scripts are sent to OpenAI's TTS API
- When you generate videos, prompts are sent to PiAPI's Kling API
- Per Anthropic's API policy: prompts sent via the API are NOT used to train their models
- Per OpenAI's API policy: API inputs are NOT used for model training
- We do NOT use your generated content to train our own AI models
- Your product content is stored in our database for you to access — it is not shared with other users
5. Third-Party Services
We share data with these service providers, only as necessary to operate the platform:

6. Data Retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active
- Product data: retained while your account is active
- Transaction history: retained for 7 years (tax/legal requirements)
- Chat conversations: retained for 90 days, then deleted
- Scan results: retained while your account is active
- Affiliate data: retained while affiliate account is active + 1 year after termination
- After account deletion: personal data is deleted within 90 days; anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics
7. Your Rights
A. All Users
- Access: request a copy of your personal data
- Correction: request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: request deletion of your account and associated data
- Portability: request your data in a machine-readable format
- Withdrawal of consent: withdraw consent for optional data processing
B. Quebec Residents (Loi 25)
- You have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal information
- You have the right to withdraw consent for non-essential data processing
- You may file a complaint with the Commission d'acces a l'information du Quebec (CAI)

8. Data Security
- All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL)
- Database is hosted on DigitalOcean with encryption at rest
- Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel
- Passwords are hashed (bcrypt via NextAuth)
- We implement rate limiting to prevent abuse
- Regular security updates are applied to all systems
- In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users within 72 hours as required by applicable law
9. Children's Privacy
Kupkaike is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we discover we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it immediately.
10. International Data Transfers
Our servers are located in North America (DigitalOcean). If you are located outside Canada, your data may be transferred to and processed in Canada. By using the Platform, you consent to this transfer. We ensure all third-party services meet adequate data protection standards.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance.
