Demand
Does a real market exist? Measured on the count of active Etsy listings that genuinely match the query, after a relevance filter removes the ones that only share a word. Presence, not magnitude: a small real market still counts.
Competition
How crowded the shelf is, and who holds it. Four fifths of this reading is the relevant listing count; the last fifth is how many distinct shops those listings come from, because two hundred listings from twelve shops is a shelf somebody already owns.
Pricing power
